International Youth Day

12 Aug 2016

On the occasion of International Youth Day on 12 August 2016, United Nations in Bangladesh is welcoming young Bangladeshis to share their social entrepreneurial initiatives to inspire other young people in Bangladesh.

A contest is now open for Bangladeshis, aged between 18-35, to submit stories on their volunteer projects in their communities through either a short video or photo-story. The projects should focus on one of the three thematic areas: education, health or peace; and should be running for at least one year.

The last day to submit the entries is 15 October 2016 and can be submitted through an online or offline method. Some of the best projects will be promoted on UN social media and websites. Top projects will receive an opportunity to meet National Goodwill Ambassadors of UN Agencies in Bangladesh, and share their community stories with them.

Two contest flyers, one in Bangla and another in English, have been prepared to provide a clear guideline.

UN in Bangladesh wishes all the best to all participants and encourages to continue their efforts to bring inspiring and positive changes in their communities and throughout Bangladesh.
