The UNRC Office together supports the UN Resident coordinator to carry out his/her tasks in the areas of

Advocacy for the United Nations system,

• (Support the advancement of United Nations system objectives and mandates; Follow-up to United Nations global conferences and Information activities)
  
  Operational coordination
  
• (Support to national coordination, including the country strategy papers, the common country assessment, United Nations Development Assistance Framework, field-level committees, Inter-agency thematic groups and joint programming etc)
  
  Management coordination
  
• (United Nations House and common services, Team-building and inter-agency training, representation of organizations of the United Nations system without field representation, Security etc)
  
  Humanitarian and emergency assistance and Reporting to the Secretary General
  
  

  In particular it carries out the broad UN agenda including monitoring and reviewing the implementation of the UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), contributing to the achievement of the National Poverty Reduction Strategies (PRSP) and Millennium Development Goals, harmonization and alignment including the implementation of Paris declaration, Aid and Donor Coordination (LCG) , UN advocacy and communications, Humanitarian Response & other Joint Programmming initiatives. Efforts to implement the UN reform agenda at the country level is highlighted at the UN System Reform Strategy in Bangladesh.
