your favorite dish to share with others.
The potluck dinner will feature international dishes from our
members, but a special focus for the evening will be African cuisine
and music from our African members, in honour of our First Vice
President, Leocardia Byenkya, who will be leaving this month.

UNWA members & their spouses are invited (No Guests).

Luncheon

the Royal Park Hotel
House 85, Road 25, Block A, Banani.
UNWA
organises a lunch at different restaurants on the last Monday of the
month. Tk 350 per person for a buffet meal.
The
May Luncheon was very well attended, the hotel had to fit in extra
chairs for more people than we had anticipated. In order to ensure

new arrivals after the summer months. UNWA will be closed for July

Congratulations!
ICDDRB:
Centre for Health and Population Research received the first
Gates Global Health Award for its 30 years of ORS, Family Planning,
Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health and Vaccine research here in
Bangladesh. An honor worth $1 million, the award is similar to a Nobel
Prize for Public Health and is being reported across the world as a model
of developing country achievement to benefit other South nations.
SREE
DEVI, daughter of LATHA PILLAI (UNWA Member) and Dr.K.G.Pillai, Chief
Technical Officer, FAO-Bangladesh, secured the First Rank in the B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) Degree at Kerala University,
India. UNWA congratulates Sree Devi and her proud parents.
