HITOMI GLEMAREC (Japan) arrived in July with her two sons and her husband, the new UNDP Deputy Resident Representative (Programme) Yannick Glemarec (France), from Beijing, China. They have settled into a house in Banani and their two children attend the French School in Baridhara. BINTOU SANYANG (Gambia) and her family arrived on 25 August from Gambia. Her husband, Seikou Sanyang is the UNV Programme Officer at UNDP. They have a one year old daughter, Mona, and have settled in Gulshan. MARIA HELENE JOHANSEN (Finland), is the new Programme and Administrative Officer with WHO. This is her first job with the UN. Maria Helene has a very positive attitude is looking forward to her stay in Bangladesh. She has only been here for two months but already she is very comfortable in a "salwar kameez". She has one daughter (20 years) in Finland. |
