ICDDR,B: Centre for Health & Population Research (Cholera Hospital) will host a display of over 70 paintings by famous Bangladeshi artists. A big percentage of the sale proceeds will go to the Hospital Endowment. The silent auction will be held in the new Pavilion on top of the library building at the Mohakhali campus, where 120,000 people dying of diarrhea have found their way yearly to the free care offered there.

We are offering tours of the hospital and nutrition wards to our visitors to the art auction. This is the first BIG public event since the ICDDR,B won the Gates Award for Global Health. The Centre’s laboratories are the best diagnostic reference labs in Bangladesh. The story of dengue and malaria and resistent TB is also a part of ICDDR,B’s world-famous research.
