The Annual General Meeting is coming up in March 2002. Elections of officers to the UNWA Executive Committee 2002-2003 will be on top of the Agenda at the AGM. Anyone interested in a position in the Executive Committee next year will please contact the Nominating Committee Chairperson, Janet Jackson (UNFPA) at janet@unfpa-bangladesh.orgAll positions on the Executive Committee are open for nominations: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publications, Hospitality and Welfare. All officers of the present Executive Committee (except for the President, who is leaving Dhaka) are eligible for re-election to another term. The Nominating Committee will present the slate at the AGM. The present club year finishes at the end of March 2002. Chairpersons and members of the Working Committees finish their terms in March 2002 also. The Chairpersons, elected at the AGM (e.g. Publications, Welfare, and Hospitality) or appointed by the Executive Committee (e.g. Activities, Membership, UN Ball, and Website), will choose their own committee members. Please come forward and nominate yourself! If you nominate someone else, please make sure you have her consent before submitting her name to the Nominating Committee. We need all of you to help start the new year with enthusiasm! |

UNWA Hospitality Kits are available on a monthly rental basis while newcomers await shipments or consultants cope. The Kits are being upgraded and replaced at the moment and will be available by the second week of January.
