Japanese Luncheon

Date and Time:  Tuesday, 24 September from 11:00 a.m.

We are starting a new series of "cultural" luncheons from September.

Each month, a hostess (or hostesses) from one of the many nationalities represented in the UNWA membership will organize a cooking class/luncheon so that you can learn to cook a special dish from the hostess’ home country. And you can immediately taste the delights you have just cooked!

The first of these will be a Japanese lunch where you will see a real pro deep-fry tempura and prepare buckwheat noodles. You can also try your hand at rolling a sushi roll and folding an origami paper crane.

A fee of about Tk. 300 – 350 will be charged to cover the costs of the ingredients and the serving of other food and drinks. As the lunch will be limited to 15 participants, please call beforehand to let us know if you are coming.

We have tentative plans for lunches from the Philippines, Bangladesh and UK in subsequent months…so we look forward to your participation!

Please contact Hitomi at unwa.hg@undp.org  for further details.
