On behalf of our President, Tazeen Rehman, who is on holiday, I welcome you back from your summer vacation and I hope that you are all physically and mentally fit to lock horns together to promote UNWA.

October 25 is the date for the UN ball. It will be held at the Sonargaon Hotel. Please remember that this is our main annual fundraising event and that we should all work towards making the night as successful as ever.

The September General Meeting was held on Saturday, September 21 at Hotel Lake Castle. The guest speaker was UNESCO Representative in Bangladesh, Wolfgang Vollmann. I would like to thank him most sincerely for the time he spared to be with us.

I would also like to welcome the newcomers to Dhaka and UNWA. I hope that those of you who have not still joined the association yet will do so soon.
