In our November issue we featured Sheikh Mujib Safari Park [also known as Dulahazara Safari Park]. The famous ornithologist, Enam ul-Haq, who has given a talk for UNWA last year and written for WOMUN, went there on 24 November on our advice and found the Great Slaty Woodpecker, a large and unmistakable bird long thought to be extinct in Bangladesh. We were obviously not exaggerating when we said this was one of the finest forests in the country.
