The Dhaka American Women’s Club (DAWC) is an exciting, dynamic, and independent organization, committed to furthering fellowship within the American community and with the larger Bangladeshi community in Dhaka, as well as rendering charitable services and gifts to individuals or organizations within Bangladesh.

Its goals are to provide a touchstone to Americans residing in Dhaka while absorbing the rich, and sometimes challenging, culture of Bangladesh, and to provide assistance to the less fortunate people in the host community.

This is done by sponsoring social and charitable activities throughout the year and by facilitating volunteer opportunities for members and the larger American citizen community. Membership in DAWC is open to female U.S. citizens, as well as wives of U.S. citizens residing in Bangladesh.
