I have been around for a while and have tried to check out the salon options here in Dhaka. I usually feel that the services in the salons are good but the atmosphere always needs some work. There are usually a few too many people being "trained" and it takes away some of the enjoyment that usually accompanies a salon experience.

Once I was getting a pedicure at a local salon and there were two people attending to me while four others stared at my feet and talked. Were they commenting on my toes or just chatting?

Total Care salon was, for me, a wonderful experience. It was cool, clean, relaxing, and very professional. My friend and I had hair appointments. I had a haircut while she opted for highlights. I also had a facial during another visit and it was very good.

Total Care is managed by Ramani Fernando, a well-known, award-winning Sri Lankan hairdresser, who has passed on her techniques and expertise to three experienced associates, Kevin, Mufeez and Nayana. The three of them work in Dhaka with trained local staff. We really enjoyed their competence and their courteousness.

The other clients looked extremely pleased with their services as well and one client was getting a manicure and pedicure that must have been so relaxing that she looked like she fell asleep!

I give Total Care a rating of ««««« and my highest recommendation.
