Poster Contest for Children
A Poster (and Slogan) Contest was organized by UNWA as part of the
United Nations Day celebration.
One hundred and fifty children from grades 3 to 5 participated from the
American International School Dhaka, Dreyfus House, the International
School Dhaka and the French International School Dhaka.
The theme was Freshwater, to highlight 2003 as the Year of Freshwater. The
students were asked to illustrate what water means to our community, to
educate others on water conservation, and to show where there are
problems, and what needs to be done to ensure its protection.
UNICEF Representative Morten Giersing, French Ambassador Michel Lummaux,
artist Kuhu and Jean Sack were the judges.
